The Home features an oasis of lush gardens under a canopy of mature trees. In addition to The Home the venue also boasts the Bonnie Lou Wood Visitor Center, an indoor-outdoor facility with a walk-out patio perfect for cocktail hour. Nestled in the heart of the historic Lockerbie Square neighborhood, this exclusive property is a premier location for your wedding.

Wedding Packages

The Lockerbie

This package is designed for a complete signature wedding experience including the Ceremony, Reception, and Rehearsal.

  • 10 hours total Day of Event: 4 hours of preparation time and 6 hours of event time
  • Rehearsal Day Before: 2 Hours
  • Rental fee includes:
    • Up to 200 guests outdoor; 60 guests indoor in Vistor Center
      • Climate controlled bathrooms
    • Use of Museum Home lawn; and Visitor Center
      • The Visitor Center features picture windows perfect for beautiful prep photos. There are two private spaces with room for both the Groomsman and Bridal party to prepare.
    • 8×16 Pop-up canopy for Visitor Center walk out patio
    • 10×10 Pop-up canopy (2 available)
    • 60″ outdoor banquet tables (5 total)
    • Outdoor chairs (100 total)
    • Cocktail rounds (4 total)
    • One Hour Photo Session (Mon-Thurs, 9-4 p.m.)
      • Capture beautiful engagement photos on our grounds prior to your wedding date
    • List of approved caterers and vendors
      • Most licensed caterers and vendors are welcome but must be approved by Museum Director and visit The Home prior to event date

The Park Avenue

This is a package designed for a signature Reception only experience

  • 8 hours total Day of Event: 3 hours of preparation time and 5 hours of event time
  • Rental fee includes:
    • Up to 200 guests outdoor; 60 guest indoor in Visitor Center
      • Climate controlled bathrooms
    • Use of Museum Home lawn; and Visitor Center
      • The Visitor Center features picture windows perfect for beautiful prep photos. There are two private spaces with room for both the Groomsman and Bridal party to prepare

The James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home offers an idyllic setting for your engagement pictures, wedding photography, or your next family portrait. Photos can be taken both inside and outside the Home, but because the James Whitcomb Riley Museum is National Historic Landmark, it is imperative that all who participate abide by guidelines established to protect the historical significance of the property. Photoshoots are by appointment only.
